The Belleville Turnpike Bridge crosses the Passaic River, connecting Belleville to North Arlington.  The Silver Lake station on the Newark City Subway provides service to Newark Penn Station, and New Jersey Transit bus service is available to and from Newark.

Along with it's Cherry Blossom Festival, Belleville is also known for its Sopranos episode filmings.  Many of the local landmarks, rivers and buldings have been highlighted in the famous HBO series.

The Belleville School District serves public school students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
