Maywood Historical Society

The Mayfield Historical Society was founded in 1981, bought the Riceville Homestead in 1992, was placed on the State Register of Historic Places and also on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The Historical Society received its Absolute or Permanent Charter in 2000. The purpose of the Mayfield Historical Society is to bring together those people interested in history, especially the history of the Town of Mayfield; to collect material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of the area; to collect archival materials and provide for preservation of such material and for its accessibility to all who wish to examine it; to preserve the Riceville Homestead and it contents; and to disseminate historical information and stimulate interest in the past and present. Maywood NJ Street Fair


August 16, 2015 | 10am - 5pm

(Vendors Setup Time: 7am - 8:30am)

This event will once again be held along West Pleasant Ave. from 10AM-5PM. The street will be transformed into a giant town block party.  Our special section in the Bergen Community Bank parking lot will be brimming with all kinds of fun stuff to do. Bring the kids to the "Kidz Traveling Shindig" where there will be mechanical kiddie rides, pony rides, petting zoo, climbing wall, clowns, face painting, sand art, temporary tattoos, etc....

maywood NJ Station Museum

The Maywood Station Museum will host an open house today, May 24 from noon to 5 p.m. The historic museum hosts a wide variety of exhibits, artifacts, and photographs on displayed restored Caboose245-42 will be open with additional displays as well as an operating model train layout. Come visit this interesting museum!
