Wallington

Located approximately 15 miles northwest of Midtown Manhattan, Wallington is a small borough (only one square mile) in Bergen County, New Jersey.  The Passaic and Saddle Rivers form its northwestern boundaries, creating an unusual heart shape.  

At the 2010 Census, there were 11,335 people, 4,637 households, and 2,991 families residing in Wallington.

Wallington is primarily residential, has many small businesses and a dozen or so larger businesses.  The residents take pride in their community, it's activities and programs, and it's parks and recreation.  It's two parks, Dul's Field and The Samuel Nelkin County Park offer ball fields, a pond, playground, tennis courts, fishing and a picnick pavilion.  

The Wallington Public Schools serve students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Schools in the district include Jefferson Elementary School, Frank W. Gavlak Elementary School and Wallington Jr/Sr High School.  Public school students are also eligible to attend the secondary education programs offered by the Bergen County Technical Schools, which include the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, and the Bergen Tech campus in Teterboro or Paramus. 

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus School is a Catholic school that serves students from pre-Kindergarten through the 8th Grade.
