Wood-Ridge

Wood-Ridge is a small borough of only one square mile located in southern Bergen County, New Jersey, approximately 10 miles northwest of Midtown Manhattan.  

Wood-Ridge is served by New Jersey Transit at the Wood-Ridge Train Station and by several New Jersey Transit bus routes.  A new train station is being built on the Bergen County Line, named Wesmont Station, surrounded by new residential development and shopping.  Learn about the opportunity to purchase new townhomes in Liberty Square at Wesmont Station.

As of the 2010 Census, there were 7,626 people, 2,939 households, and 2,072 families residing in Wood-Ridge.  All the new development surrounding the new Wesmont Station should provide population growth and considerable commerce growth for the community.

New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Wood-Ridge as its 39th best place to live in its 2008 rankings of the "Best Places To Live" in New Jersey.

Students in public school for pre-K through grade 12 attend the Wood-Ridge School District. Schools in the district include Catherine E. Doyle Elementary SchoolGretta R. Ostrovsky Middle School, and Wood-Ridge High School.  Students from Moonachie also attend Wood-Ridge High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Moonachie School District. Students are also eligible to attend the secondary education programs offered by the Bergen County Technical Schools, which include the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, and the Bergen Tech campus in Teterboro or Paramus.
