School Supplies Wanted
From the Porch at Holy Trinity
Thank you to everyone who provided the lovely gifts for the “baby shower” for those in the Armed Services and the wives of those serving. These families sacrifice for us each and every day.
This year, the women of Holy Trinity are joining to- gether to collect school supplies until August 15. These gifts will be used to fill back packs for Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey who will distrib- ute them to children in need throughout the state including the homeless in family shelters, those who are victims of abuse and placed in foster care, and any others identified to be at risk or in need.
Returning to class or ar- riving at a new school can be so much easier for a child when they have a backpack and supplies just like all the other children. Supplies that are needed include: 70-page spiral notebooks, 12-inch rul- ers, highlighters, glue sticks, pencil cases, pocket folders, and calculators.
